Tunisie

As you can quite clearly see, I am no whizz kid with a camera, in fact I don't even have a good camera, some of these were taken on my blackberry... However, my lovely Sean tells me the day I take a better photograph than him he will marry me... So I am going to get better. These are a few of the thousands, and when I say thousands I am neither joking nor embellishing, of photos I took on our 14 day trip to Tunisia. I am currently working on a project at uni with Made. com and Monkey biz to create 4 40x40 knitted panels, using this trip as my inspiration ...

Minerals

These fabrics are inspired both by the minerals in the collections at Swiss Cottage Museum.

Louise Bourgeois

Who else?

When I saw the minerals I thought of two things, latex and Louise. They are very nearly the same thing in my head...

Swiss Cottage Museum

This is the collection of Queen Victoria's children. It out grew their wendy house, which is far larger and grander than my real house, so a neighbouring museum was built. The light in this place is divine. It has taxidermy, minerals, artefacts from many many cultures... And so many random bits and bobs. It is insane. Photos are forbidden, however I gained special permission from the director of Osbourne House. If I remember correctly, I am aloud to post these, but I have lost the agreement and my memory fails me so I have only put up a taster. I am so grateful for being aloud this privilege, all the staff there were so helpful and lovely and let us pop down to the private beach too!

A frolic to Queen Vic's private beach!
